This
has already been an exceptionally cold winter, and it’s important to make sure
that your pet is warm and safe at all times. Never leave your pet outside for
longer than they need to be out for a bathroom break or a walk. If it’s too
cold for you, it’s too cold for them!
We also recommend washing your pet’s paws
gently with warm water and mild soap to remove poisonous ice melt products and
ice that has gotten stuck between the pads of your pet’s paws.
If your pet has
short hair or seems exceptionally shaken by the cold, it may be a good idea to
get a comfortably-fitting jacket or sweater for when they go outside. If you
have questions about keeping your pet warm and comfortable, we can help!
